On the 31st of October Halloween will be celebrated in different countries like the United Kingdom and the United States.
On the 27th and 28th of October in the English and Art lessons, we have been learning about this tradition that attracts the attention of young people around the world.
We worked with the different levels depending on the age groups and made beautiful and scary crafts. The most important thing is that we have been practicing Speaking and Listening activities at the time as we were having fun working in teams & individually.
The little ones in primary have been learning about a Monster dance, singing songs and talking about feelings using a pumpkin. They also read the story 'Room in the broom', created masks and did a role play. To be honest, I’ve seen Frankenstein many times but never as cute as the crafts our students created in their Art classes.
The older students have been working on the History of Halloween : the actual tradition of where the festivity comes from and what is celebrated in various countries. This expands their vocabulary and gives them a chance to talk about it. We ended with a quiz game to test what they had learned.
They must be exhausted!

El 31 de octubre se celebrará Halloween en diferentes países como Reino Unido y Estados Unidos.
Los días 27 y 28 de octubre en las clases de Inglés y Arte hemos estado aprendiendo sobre esta tradición que tanto llama la atención de jóvenes de todo el mundo.
Trabajamos con los diferentes niveles según los grupos de edad e hicimos manualidades bonitas y terroríficas. Lo más importante es que hemos estado practicando actividades de hablar y escuchar mientras nos divertíamos trabajando en equipos e individualmente.
Los más pequeños de primaria han estado aprendiendo sobre un baile de Monstruos, cantando canciones y hablando de sentimientos usando una calabaza. También leyeron el cuento 'Room on the broom', crearon máscaras e hicieron un juego de roles. Para ser honesto, he visto Frankenstein muchas veces, pero nunca tan lindo como las manualidades que nuestros estudiantes crearon en sus clases de Arte.
